The latest report from the Lazarus Building

I'll try to keep you posted on the latest activities of Daytons only nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons. I'll certainly report anything I see, but I'll also try to include other's observations and general news as well.

To the right you can see a picture of the nestbox put up for the falcons. The birds you see are chicks from this years hatch. One day later they all fledged.

The terror of the skies lives just downtown!

First a word from the ODNR organizer :

Briefly, there are three Peregrine chicks in the nest box on the south side of the Lazarus building in Dayton. Banding will occur on Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at 11:00 AM. Fledging should occur around June 15th.

A Peregrine meeting is scheduled for June 8th from 6 PM - 7 PM at Book Friends, 19 E Second Street, downtown Dayton, Ohio be sure and tell your friends. If you have questions, contact Rick Jasper at (937)372-9261.
