For those of you who were at the meeting last Sunday, you can ignore this little expose and go onto something a little more interesting as I'll be covering roughly the same topics that we discussed at the meeting. As of this issue, we will no longer be supported by the Dogwood Pavilion or The City of Coquitlam to have our newsletter printed. As far as I'm concerned, it was strictly a political decision and involves the fact that we now cover 10 municipalities rather than just the Tri Cities area. As a result we will be looking to other avenues for having our newsletter printed for us. We have already had one offer that looks pretty good, but we are always open to other possibilities. If any of you have a contact in the printing business or know of someone who may be interested in helping us with this project, please let me know a.s.a.p. so that we can get this whole thing settled before we have to produce our September issue. The offer we have at this moment is for slightly less than $.03 a page with delivery the next day and the printer supplies the paper. See what you can do.
Due to situations beyond our control, our Visitors Training program has been put on HOLD until possibly September or October. In the meantime, Sandra is carrying on as before with doing the odd one on one training and still compiling a list of those persons interested in getting involved in this very important function of our Chapter. Please bear with us and be patient as it will happen.
As a result of our expanded responsibilities, we are also toying with the idea of changing the name of our Chapter to be more in line with the actual areas that we are responsible for. I would like you all to think about this, and at our picnic this month, maybe we can touch on it just to get some ideas that you the members may have.
As planned, our last meeting  for this year will be our picnic at Jessoma Farms. We hope to have a good turnout and once again, extend the invitation to one and all (members and families, 20/40 group and friends, ET's and families) to come out and generally enjoy yourselves. Games will be played and prizes will be awarded. We request that you bring whatever you wish to barbecue plus one other dish that will be used as POT LUCK. You are also requested to provide your own beverage. Tea and Coffee will be provided. Paul Melhus(our host) advises me that he makes a mean pot of Chili also. So mark the date and time on your calender. Sunday, May 26th., Jessoma Farms,  21488 76thAve., Langley  -  1:00 pm. I would like to close this little piece or prose, by wishing everyone a very relaxed and enjoyable summer.
CHEERS AND BEST WISHES TO ALL.
