Ah, spring. My favorite time of year. Like most people, I just feel absolutely rejuvenated by the warm breezes, fluttering petals, soft cool earth beneath my bare feet and...oops, we have deer on our lawn, so I'd best watch where I step.
My beautiful red tulips that needed to be protected from the deer I mentioned before...had to virtually put a stockade fence around them as they LOVE tulips. Good thing, though, is that once we got the dogs we never had a problem, even though they weren't out at night. Guess the deer didn't wanna take any chances!
OK, so roses don't bloom in the spring. Problem is, I had this picture and didn't  have any other place to put it, so this being a relatively "floral" page, it got dropped here!!

Spring  2004
Well, the tulips aren't doing so well anymore. The ones that DO come up get mowed down by the deer (don't have the fence up anymore and the dogs are on leads so they don't scare the deer anymore). Of course they totally ignore the stunted ones and eat the last of the nice ones. Oh well, I still have my crocus, bleeding hearts and daffodils!
Course it couldn't be a site of mine without a few pictures of the cats. Here's Cassius, a study on the stone row.
Baxter, my one indoor-only kitty, lounges in the sunshine streaming thruogh the window.
