YULE 2004: December 21st
To celebrate the sun's long rest
and the longest night of the year, this year I took a rest of my own. An
all night vacation from should's and shouldn'ts and I-really-ought-to's.
After my brief and quiet ceremony: lighting candles that spelled JOY, I
turned up the heat in the house, ate something DEFINITELY not on my diet,
read a book in a hot bath and played computer games all night. With the
dawn comes responsibility again, turning the heat down again and welcoming
the sun back with round bread and open shutters.Return to the Brain
