About Us
Howell Retrievers are bred and raised with the family in mind. Each litter is born in the house where they are given quiet and privacy until they open their eyes. Once their eyes are open they are given as much love and attention they can handle. We use the bio-sensor method of stimulating our new borns. We carefully check the soundness of the parents before breeding. All our puppies have a 2 year hip and eye guarantee. Our goal is to raise the highest quality Retrievers possible.
Our pups are ready to be great family pets and wonderful bird dogs. Their parents come from a quite impressive
pedigree, having excellent bloodlines and many hunting and companion champions. We turn our pups onto the game bird's scent and condition them to the sounds of hunting very early.
We have been the proud parents of field-line golden retrievers and Chesapeake Bay retrievers for 7 years. We started raising puppies about 5 years ago. Raising dogs here is a family event, we have 3 children who love our dogs and help in every aspect of rearing puppies. We are actively involved in Chesapeake rescue, we participate conformation shows, hunt tests and upland and waterfowl hunting. My husband and I are both graduates of Veterinary Technology programs, each earning an Associates Degree in Applied Science from accredited colleges in Nebraska and South Dakota.
We are located in rural Southeast Nebraska. And are willing to ship your puppy to you, but would much rather meet you in person! |
