| 24/08/2005 What an evening! 5 bands playing tribute to 5 classic acts, to the enjoyment of many. Was, personally, a strange feeling imitimating human drum machines like John Bonham and Dolmayan, though nothing compared to the challenge of de la Rocha's RATM vocals. All the sets went brilliantly, to the appreciation of the crowd. Jack and Caz's near perfect impressions of Jack and Meg White were a sight to behold! All in all, it turned out to be a terrific night of rock 'n' roll! Thanks to Mike and Rob for their organisation and sound, Rosie's dad for the lightning, all the other 'adults' and, of course, all you crazy people who came, danced and made it a great evening. Photos should be up soon, as well as some live tracks. Until then... 16/08/2005 Just a quick post to say that Coping With Crisis were crowned winners of the YFest 'Battle of the Bands' today, meaning we've won a studio session and gained a few more fans! Thanks to all those who organised the event (and their description of 'pure entertainment' and our loyal troops as always. Look forward to tomorrow night and, of course, the big Tirbute Night on Friday - should be a good evening for all! 15/08/2005 BREAKING NEWS: CWC have been swept up in gigging fever! However, if you cant make that gig, you're more than welcome to join us at the Bassment on Wednesday evening where we will be suporting a local country rock band!? We'll kick off at around 7:30 and its 4 on the door. Hope to see you all down for rocking and indeed rolling! BUT WAIT! Thats not all folks! We will be playing a gig at the White Hart in Little Waltham on the 26th August. Who knows! it may be our last :P More on that and possible gig at The Box soon. Not forgetting the tribute night on the 19th at the OCs. This is gonna be a busy two weeks!! (Thanks to Matt for this update :D) 06/08/2005 Details for 19th Aug are coming together. Tis a friday night, approx. 7 - 11 with 5 groups paying tribute to their favourite bands. All proceeds will be going to charitable causes, though entrance costs haven't been confirmed yet. Make sure you are there for what promises to be an eventful night of rock n roll! 27/06/2005 Despite all the calamity in its arrangement, and a crowd that just surpassed that of Moulsham Lodge, Saturday was actually a really enjoyable gig! Utilising our hour long slot, we were able to mix the old with the new, and also experiment somewhat, including the addition of SOAD's 'Aerials' and an extended solo breakdown in 'All Bark & No Bite (Yeah)' - all the confusion of an appreciative audience. Many thanks to all those who made the journey, as well as thanks to Dani in advance for taking shots all evening. Plus of course Stevie Jame for his blinding guest appearance in 'Slither' (RAFR) Finally, plans for OC's III are nearing completion, prepare to be truly mezmerised.... 23/06/2005 Quick addition to the last entry.
