16/05/2005 For those you don't know yet, we are playing a special fundraising gig for the Brightlingsea Music Festival next Sat (25th). Due to illness, Barefoot will unfortunately not be playing. However, should still prove to be a grand occasion, with Ten Pence Short as well as the White Hart House Band. Entrance is 5, The band will be there for about 7pm, but the actual gig runs from 8 - 11.30pm - edit 20/06. Initial ideas for a coach have fallen through, so people will probably have make there own way. There is a small possibility of an entourage style journey as well as chance of lifts with various band members. If you are interested in coming, drop us a line and I can send you the relevant info regarding directions etc. Hopefully see you there!

Small sample of Goldfest 2005 pictures now up for viewing - many more to come soon!

So Goldfest is done for another year. Our third visit to this now slightly infamous event contained all of the usual drama: bands overrunning, booze overflowing and plenty of drunken roaring! But what else would you expect from the White Hart. Though restricted for time, we went on in high spirits. The crowd certainly seemed appreciative of the display, ranging from the funky grooves of 'Right From The Start' to the SOAD mayhem of 'BYOB'. Whilst a few anthems had to be kept aside, 'Cheese', 'Pillage' and 'Chav' certainly got the crowd into a frenzy.
Huge thank yous to the White Hart, to Stevie James for putting us on the bill, to the other bands who played (especially Craze) and of course all the wonderful people who came to see us: you make the performances what they are, and without you all, our part would be much less enjoyable. Thanks again, and see you all next time!

Yes, Coping With Crisis are now 2 years old! Has it really been that long? Hope you were celebrating in your own special ways. Personally, we shall celebrating at Goldfest (nice link, eh?) Though we are playing at 7.45pm, the event will be taking place all day at the White Hart in Little Waltham. Apologies to those who didn't get my email, not sure I have everyone's addresses. Should be a brilliant day of bands, booze and the best BBQ burgers around! Starts at 12pm till sometime that night, free entry. See you there! :D

Just a quick update. Sadly, it appears that the Moulsham Lodge gig will not be happening. However, Goldefest 2005 will definitely be taking place on SAT 28th MAY. It is an all day family event, no entry costs and we are playing about 7.45pm. Have seen the band list, and it should promise to be a brilliant day. Also possiblity of a few more gigs around Essex in near future, but more on those as we get it.

Many thanks to everybody who came on Saturday night - was a great crowd and, hopefully, a great performance to match. Particularly thanks to the wonderful pirate 'dancers' as well as the young lady taking pics for us (I wasn't introduced, hence the lack of name! :( ) Personally enjoyed the SOAD section as well as the madness of CHAV Generation. Plus Barefoot rocked the socks too - a good night for live music. In regard to people having to leave after our set, it was purely a case not having enough 'adults' within the group, thus a possible threat to the pub's licence. Hope you all understand. Pics from the gig, plus new rehearsal shots, should be up in the near future.

Well, Band Night was certainly eventful! Though Adam was unfortunately away, twas still pretty rocking, especially the anti-anthem that is CHAV Generation! Thanks to all those who came, Mike and Ian for engineering the evening, Rob for playing with us , as well as Jack 'White' Lewis for a marvellous guest appearance! Got some great pics (again, thanks Mike) and some more sounds coming your way soon! More gig news as it arrives, including potential support slot at Rocking Bay Horse...oh yeah! P.S. Hope you like the big scary [album plugging] intro page! : )

It has been a mad week and a bit, hasn't it? After the madness of last weekend's double header (belated thanks to Rob and Jike and their team, as well as the guys at Moulsham Lodge), I didn't think it could get any more crazy. How wrong was I! Last friday, we played with Barefoot at the White Hart. To cut a long story very short, it was nothing less than awesome. Many thanks to all those who came along to drink to my birthdfay healtth, as well as Barefoot for a hugely enjoyable performance. Photos from the White Hart and last weel's OC's gig are up and loaded now. As for the report, who knows... And for those of you who don't know already, the album is complete and available for the low price of 4. Find us at any gigs, or email the band to get hold of your copy today!

Well, what a weekend it has been! 2 gigs in 2 nights - can't ask for more than that! Well, perhaps a bigger audience at Moulsham Lodge tonight, but still, it was great fun nevertheless! Thanks to the 'select audience' that joined us, many thanks to Paulo and Dave for putting the evening together.. As for the night before, I shall leave it to the (big) man at the front to give you bad boys and girls the low down with a report coming soon!. Watch this space!

The album is close to completion, should be ready in the next week or so. Also, following our dilemma over Band Night, we have been 'granted' a short covers slot as 'Covering A Crisis' (quite apt I guess). Should be fun! Finally, reminder or the OC gig on 18th March (week today!), as well as another gig on 19th March in Moulsham Lodge. More details on that and more as we get it.

03/03/2005
Just a few items to talk about. Firstly, KEGS Band Night has been moved to the 8th April, meaning we probably can't play unfortunately due to holidays. However we have got a number of potential gigs lined up. More on those as we get more details. Finally have plenty of new material on the go, some of which will be aired very, very soon! And the album should be finished in the next couple of weeks! Rock on!

28/02/2005
Work is going well on the album - preliminary mixing done. Plans to be ready for OCs gig on 18th March. Speaking of which, hope to see your usual great support, particularly for such a worthwhile cause. Tickets will be 4 on the door, and proceeds are going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Finally, don't forget about 25th March at White Hart, Little Waltham and 1st April at KEGS Band Night. Should be rocking!

Hello all! Has been a fairly quiet spot for CWC, with a number of dates approaching in March and April. Main news is that the main body of our first album is recorded. Many thanks to Mike and Rob Nye, as well as Stevie James, for their help on a testing but enjoyable day. Mixing work is currently happening and the final product should be available early March. More news on this, as well as details about the upcoming gigs, to follow soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! The madness of CWC continues with lots happening: 3 gigs almost confirmed, inc. Sparky's Birthday Bash at the White Hart on 25th March withjBarefoot Revelation and Coping With Crisis. Recording plans nearly complete with provisional date to start work on our first album. Exciting stuff!
