I chose this list of websites to
use with my students in their math journals. I believe that higher
order thinking skills challenge students and help them to become interested
in whatever subject a
teacher chooses to incorporate
the higher order thinking skills. I want my students to take risks
and not be afraid of taking these risks. I want them to understand
that the "right" answer may not always be what is important. I want
them to understand that the road taken to achieve an answer is the important
concept.
Set of Books for BK-12 Students.
I think that incorporating children's
literature into every subject should be one of the highest priorities for
an educator. I think that this incorporation demonstrates and models
to students the reason for reading in the first place! I have selected
some excellent books from various locations that I will want to have available
for my students during our study on fractions. This availability
will allow my students to master research techniques as well as gain more
knowledge about the subject of fractions.
