ESL Games and Quiz Corner
I wanted to use this website because
it allows students to work at their own individual level. Also, I
think that when a student uses interactive games they can enjoy themselves
while employing important language skills. These games allow the
ESL student to gain confidence in their English skills, which in turn will
help them to build confidence in the use of the language. This growth
in their speaking will encourage growth in the building of relationships
with their peers within the classroom.
Spanish Explorers
As the North Carolina Fourth Grade Social Studies Curriculum contains the study of North Carolina, I thought that incorporating a study of Spanish explorers would further help my ESL students feel accepted and allow them to use their native language at the same time. Hispanic culture plays an important role in our society today as well as in the past.
