I developed this unit plan to incorporate many different forms of technology with the mathematics curriculum. This unit covers both math and computer objectives from the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. I incorporated many manipulative activities for my students within this unit as well because I believe that in order to "do math" one must understand the "whys and hows" behind math. I think by moving from concrete experience then to semi-concrete to semi-abstract and finally to abstract concepts, students will make important connections to prior knowledge they obtain concerning the objectives within the fraction curricula.
