Rebels Of Keiran
Page 2
The first man charged past the fallen human with his pool stick coiled back.  The first alien spun around and thrust long claws into the mans mid-section, lifted him into the air, and threw him across the pool hall.  The man landed on top of another pool table.  The humans near the table stared at the dead man while he bled.  Silence filled the pool hall.  Several humans stared at the aliens.  When the aliens looked at them, their heads turned and they returned to what theyd been doing.
Whitney glanced at Denny, who still stared at the aliens.  His look was unpredictable.  Whitney patted Dennys shoulder.  He looked at her, frowned, and then looked away with disgust.  Denny and Parson approached the bar.  Whitney headed toward the rest rooms.  She paused before the back door and knocked once then twice.  The door opened to darkness.  Whitney entered.
Whitney walked past the man by the inner door as he shut it.  She approached a man sitting behind a small desk to the back of the room.  There was only a small light near the desk.  Shep, the man behind the desk, smiled and leaned forward.
Whats the word, Whitney? Shep asked.
Tomorrow night.  One A.M.  The usual place, she informed him.
Shep nodded then smirked.  Looking forward to kicking some ass--
The same knock was heard from the door.  Shep nodded to the guard.  The guard opened the door.  Parson entered.
Well bring our own crowd busters, Shep informed Whitney.  You know my men are at your disposal.
Whitney nodded with a tiny smile.  Your assistance will mean a lot to the rebellion.  Ill admit, Whitney said.  I was surprised to receive your offer.
Shep laughed and leaned back in his chair.  And a bit apprehensive, Im sure.
Whitney smiled with a tiny shrug.  If youre not an alien supporter, then youre an alien hater.  Your past history means little to me.
Shep appeared pleased.  He laughed warmly.  I like your style, Whitney.  Ill inform my men of our new plan to fight along side the rebellion.  He leaned back in his chair.  Its what they live for.
The guard by the door collapsed.  Shep stood with a startled look.  Whitney spun around with surprise.             Parson aimed his gun and fired a silent shot.  Sheps head snapped backward, taking the bullet in the head.  He flopped back into his chair.  Parson spun toward Whitney.  Whitney stared at him with shock and dismay.  There was a knock on the door.
