Thank you to have clicked on this link. Allow me to give you some advices for the framing of your paintings, in particular if you have just acquired one of them here!

If it is about an original oil, I forward it to you framed soberly, and you can hang it directly at home just as it is. It is also a good insurance to protect it during transport.

I remind to you that an oil on canvas, and with a less degree, an oil on board (wood) is prone to variation according to the degree of hygroscopy. Often during a trip the canvas moves (tightens themselves or slackens - for transport it is advised to slacken the canvas a little, by withdrawing the keys between the stripes and by typing the outside of the frame to decrease the perimeter slightly by it). After having hung it, preferably a place not very prone to the variations in temperature - and of which never above a radiator - wait several weeks that the canvas was stabilized and put the keys back. If the canvas is slackened a little, it is enough to insert a little more the keys between the stripes.

For original works on papers (watercolours), they are delivered framed or not according to your choice. The framing is carried out by a professional encadror of Honfleur, comprises a passe-partout, a bottom by using best papers and paperboards (without acid), and is closed hermetically to avoid any degradation, as well by moisture as by dust.

If you wish to built yourselves your framing, and, in addition to the pleasure of doing it, to realize substantial savings, I did not find simpler and less expensive than the framings proposed by American Frame (Save up to 70% off Picture Frames and Accessories).

I remind to you that being given the brittleness of the watercolour, it should never be exposed to the direct rays of the sun.

For works on paper, print or limited edition which are addressed to you rolled, it is wise to flat leave a few days work before putting it imperatively passe-partout mounting. It is preferable hermetically to frame work for its best conservation. Note that to the original dimension of paper I added 2mm.
Do not expose prints to the direct rays of sun.

S'il s'agit d'une huile originale, je vous la fais parvenir encadr�e sobrement, et vous pouvez l'accrocher directement chez vous tel quel. C'est aussi une bonne assurance pour la prot�ger durant le transport.

Je vous rappelle qu'une huile sur toile, et � un degr� moindre, une huile sur panneau (bois) est sujette � variation suivant le degr� d'hygrom�trie. Souvent lors d'un d�placement la toile bouge (se tend ou se d�tend - pour le transport il est conseill� de d�tendre un peu les toiles, en retirant les cl�s au dos et en tapant l'ext�rieur du ch�ssis pour en diminuer l�g�rement le p�rim�tre). Apr�s l'avoir accroch�e, de pr�f�rence � un endroit peu sujet aux variations de temp�rature - et donc jamais au dessus d'un radiateur - attendez plusieurs semaines que la toile se soit stabilis�e et remettez les cl�s sur le ch�ssis. Si la toile est un peu d�tendue, il suffit d'enfoncer un peu plus les cl�s r�guli�rement autour du ch�ssis.

Pour les oeuvres sur papiers originales (aquarelles), elles sont livr�es encadr�es ou non selon votre choix. L'encadrement est r�alis� par un encadreur professionnel de Honfleur, comporte un passe partout, un fond en utilisant les meilleurs papiers et cartons (sans acide, et est ferm� herm�tiquement pour �viter toute d�gradation, tant par l'humidit� que par les poussi�res).

Si vous souhaitez monter vous-m�mes votre encadrement, et, outre le plaisir de le faire, r�aliser de substantielles �conomies, je n'ai pas trouver plus simple et moins cher que les encadrements propos�s par American Frame. Ce sont ceux que j'utilise lors de mes expositions � l'�tranger. L'�conomie va jusqu'� 70 % du prix en magasin et le montage est des plus simples et des plus performants.

Je vous rappelle qu'�tant donn�e la fragilit� de l'aquarelle, elle ne doit jamais �tre expos�e aux rayons directs du soleil.

Pour les oeuvres sur papier, reproduction ou tirage limit� qui vous sont adress�es roul�es, il est bon de laisser quelques jours l'oeuvre � plat avant de la mettre imp�rativement sous-verre. Il est pr�f�rable d'encadrer herm�tiquement l'oeuvre pour sa meilleur conservation.
