YOUNG EAGLES

Young Eagles is a program set up by the Experimental Aircraft Association to afford the opportunity of flying to children who otherwise would not be able to. The young eagles are taken for an approximately 20 minute flight in aircraft supplied by flight club members in the hopes that we can instill an interest in aviation in another generation of people. It is our hope that some of these young eagles will continue on in aviation either professionally or as a personal hobby. Upon completion of their flight the young eagle receives a certificate bearing the pilots signature and aircraft type. St.Thomas flightline is proud to be able to offer the young eagles program to the general public on June 16th 2001. To be eligible you need only be between the ages of 11 and 14, have a parent to sign a permission slip and arrive at the St. Thomas municipal airport terminal building between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. We hope to see you there.
