This is the beta version of a New York City Transit Train Directory Service. It is nicknamed the Subway Expert, 402 KB!

This application displays a consolidated list of train routes by service line for the New York Subway system. This version includes information on 20+ train lines and 300+ train stations in the New York City Metropolitan area.

This product makes use of the following technologies: Visual Basic .NET, Visual Studio .NET, ADO.NET, Microsoft Access 2000, SQL. All design, database programming, and .NET development was done by Darrell Cooper for demonstration purposes only.

Important! This software requires the .Net framework, 23 MB, to be installed on the user's computer in order to run. You may already have this Framework installed on later Microsoft Windows PCs, please contact your system administrator for details or see Microsoft's web site concerning .NET technology.

Minimal Requirements: To install .Net Framework, you must have one of the following operating systems with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later installed on your computer:

CAUTION

If you install Dotnefx.exe on Windows Server 2003 Beta 3, you will break the version of the .NET Framework that is installed with the operating system. Windows Server 2003 Beta 3 installs version 1.0.3215 of the .NET Framework. If you install a later version of the .NET Framework, version 1.0.3215 will be broken. If you install a later version, you can run and use the later version. However, you will not be able to use version 1.0.3215, even after uninstalling the later version. Download .Net Framework!
