Hello, everyone welcome to another commentary from me. Thank you for joining on this anniversary commentary. What Anniversary? you may ask. It has been three years since I experienced one of the most degrading things in my life. This is the anniversary of me getting put in jail because of the antics of a psycho nutcase woman. I have spoken about it before in past commentaries so I am not going to talk about now. It was a degrading experience but yet it helped me learn a lot of things, not do the crime do the time, because I didn't do the crime. It just helped me appreciate everyday. Thanksgiving has come and gone and it will be one I will remember. I had one of the most enjoyable holiday vacations of my life. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I took my sister Tera out for her 21st birthday. We met Mike, Toni, Zach, Justin, Sally, and Cathy at the bar and the party was on. I made sure to tell everyone that it was Tera's B-day Party so I and many others were buying her drinks. Cathy and I got to hang out and talk for quite awhile, or at least in between shots with Tera. aside from some comotion that some drunk idiot tried to cause the night was absolutely perfect. I said goodbye to everyone and told Cathy if she got bored on Thanksgiving to call and we could hang out. Then I was assisting Tera to my truck and then into her house. I think she had a good time and I know all of the rest of us did as well. Then it was Thanksgiving day and time to cook. I finally dragged my butt out of bed and made a dish to take to Grandma's for dinner. We had a great meal and then sat down to watch our yearly tradition, "Opus and Bill's: A Wish for Wings that Work". After sitting and talking with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple hours I went home to start cleaning the house. Then I received a phone call with amuch better idea for the night. Cathy called to see if I would want to help her setup some things for her work the next day. I said sure and then got ready to leave. She picked me up and we then got things set up. We had a lot of fun and talked a lot about everything going on in our worlds. We then went back to my house and watched a movie. Ozzy stopped by with his new puppy and we all sat around and shot the shit the rest of the night. Cathy left and we decided to hang out over the weekend, and madde tentative plans. I know I already have another great friend. I almost lost her once because I was an idiot, but it is great to know she is back around and giving me another chance. There was alot more that went on this weekend and it was a great time. I will just throw a quick recap in here so as to not bore anyone. Friday, I cleaned the house, went on a short motorcycle ride, and went to see "8 Crazy Nights". Saturday, I mopped the linoleum floors in the house, had some left overs, and then met some people at the bar to hang out. Sunday, got a late start on the day, helped Justin and Sally move, and then attended the Tree of Joy dance and auction. That is what I am going to talk about now, because it truly warmed my heart to be there. As I wrote in an earlier commentary, I have boycotted the commercial Christmas and decided to concentrate on just getting the kids in my life gift and donating to charities. I am doing this because I feel like Christmas is a holiday for kids and for being generous, that is why on this last Sunday I was truly happy to be where I was. I went to the Tree of Joy charity dance and auction. The tree of joy is our local toy drive that many of my friends and I help out with. This night was about raising money for this charity by charging admission to the dance ($5.00 or toy of equal value) and auctioning off many donated items, including a jug of money that was collected throughout the night. It was such a great thing to be a part of. There were many people enjoying themselves and everyone was being so generous. Many times the items were auctioned two or three times, drawing money each time before being donated back to be sold again. I am not sure of the final figures for money brought in but I know that it was quite a bit and it all goes to a great cause, making children smile this Christmas. It helped put me a little closer to the holiday spirit. I don't want to get to into the holiday spirit because that will just make having to be out of town for work that much harder. Yes, I have to work during the Christmas season. At this point it looks like I will be going to North Carolina, Indianna, and California. I will attempt to make the most out of it though. I guess I should wrap up another commentary now. I have been enjoying being able to get back to these lately. I plan on trying to keep it up for the winter. I hope all of you have been enjoying them as well, but if not I am truly sorry. Catch you all later. Until next time, take care. Coopedaddy
