Hello everyone! I have made it back from my trip to Mexico City. The trip was as fine as a trip to Mexico City can be, I guess. I got back home on Monday the 15th and picked up the Bronco for a test drive and look over on Tuesday. It checked out pretty good so now by tomorrow afternoon it will be my new means of transportation. My Uncle is taking the Cougar off my hands in a very good deal we made. Plus, the best part of it all is that I still get to drive it when I want. Which is good because I was kinda upset I was getting rid of it, but times change and sometimes so do the vehicles we each drive. I also made the rounds Tuesday to see all my friends (and take them for rides in the Bronco). It was good to be back home to be around them and my family but I wasn't sure if I wanted to come home. It was just so relaxed both socially and professionaly down there that is was a nice escape. Nothing sitting around to bring back memories, nothing popping into the mind that I couldn't just push out of it. It was simply a nice little escape from everyday life. It is the time of the year for alot of birthdays to be going on around me. Sally's is coming up at the end of April. Then Dalton's birthday is May 6th with a complete Scooby-Doo party (I am glad I got all of the little ones into Scooby). A few friends from High School have birthdays in May as well. Carla's birthday is on the 18th of May with my own birthday the following day. I have told the fam that I don't want to do anything for it this year. Hell, all it really is is just another day. I think I will probably just disappear for the day on a motorcycle or in a car and just drive. That is perhaps the most relaxing thing to me, especially with tunes cranked up to the border of ear-bleed level. Here's a shocker for you all. I am going to be in a bachelor auction this summer. I can't wait until they get that whole 50 cents for me. The proceeds go towards some work that needs to be done on the interior of the VFW. It will probably be fun but I am sure it isn't going to help my self-esteem much, oh well I do a lot of things that sacrifice my self-esteem for the enjoyment of others. I will just have fun with it and forget about it. Of course I will have some undercover bidders in the crowd to save me if it be needed. I am not going to put too much faith in them though because I can see them throwing me to a wolf woman for a good laugh. Another funny thing is that Bootie always likes to call me a pimp but this time I will be pimped. The weekend approaches closer and closer and I am glad. Unfortunately it is going to be a rainy weekend without any chances for me to Pop the top on the Bronco but I will survive a little while. Friday night is my first night of work at the Sprint Car races. It should be a fun time and probably pretty damn busy too. Then Saturday P-man and I are going to go see one of Dale Earnhardt's cars at a car dealership and Flake is playing at the VFW and I am heading down to see that. Not a lot going on but enough to keep me busy. Well I now must part and leave you all until next time. If you read the song of the moment don't take too much from it. It is just a very good anger song that I thought needed to be on here.
Later,
Gladiator A film that deservedly got many awards and many fans. The story of Maximus a general in Caesar's army and a good friend of Caesar. When Caesar is murdered he is framed for it and arrested. He escapes shortly after to find his home and family destroyed. He is found unconscious and taken into custody to become a great gladiator. He defeats all the odds time and time again in the games. His thirst for vengeance is what keeps him going. In a show of utmost respect the operator of the games bestows upon him the wooden sword a symbol of him winning his freedom. But the story is not over yet, but my summary is. You have to watch this movie. It is an excellent story, excellent acting, excellent everything.
