I have journeyed back into the realm of the internet to put up yet another commentary in my neglected site. I should spend a little more time working on this place but the spring is approaching and my activities are picking up. Something has to give and it looks like it will be this place that suffers. I will still try to occasionally pop in with updates an commentary but I do not know how often it will be. Unfortunately, I cannot predict the future or tell anyone what their fates will hold but I can tell you that is time to get to my commentary. Daylight savings time has come and that is a sign that spring and beautiful weather is on its way. As the winter has been closing I have been active in many things. I got to see another Zwan show a couple of weeks ago and it was incredibly awesome. Billy Corgan continues to entertain me and show that a person is never done growing no matter how successful they become. I have also been totally absorbed into the Nascar Season which is now eight weeks old. Of course the fact Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in 2nd in the season points helps keep me watching the cars haul ass for all those miles. My buddy Ozzy has bought a motorcycle (it is actually one I owned for a couple months) and I am in charge of getting it back into tip-top shape for him. Then of course there is my motorcycle which soaks up a lot of my time on its own. Then, of course, there is Cathy who I liked to spend as much of my time as possible with. So my time is at a premium right now, and I kind of like it that way. I have not written a commentary since the Iraq situation has began and I would like to throw out a few of my opinions on that. First and foremost we needed to do this. It was not avoidable without the threat of many people dying due to the chemicals and weapons of a mad man. Second, I hope that we can accomplish our goals without completely destroying the homes and lives of the Iraqi people. Third, no matter what are feelings are about this conflict I feel we should all support our troops during this time. They have no choice but to go and do their job. Finally, I completely believe in free speech and the right to activism in a peaceful way, what I do not believe in is the anti-war protests that turn ugly and violent. Answer this for me, how much sense does it make to carry a "End the Violence" sign while you are swinging it at Police officers or heaving rocks at Government buildings?? None, exactly my point. Demonstrate your feelings and speak your mind but do it without the hypocritical actions. This world we live in is both great and horrible all at the same time. It is unfortunate to me that while one country may prosper four others are in shambles. I do not want to see the whole world turned into a parity of the U.S.A. I just wish everyone had the same opportunities many of us have. I hope the government can get Iraq out from under this dictator and help the people get a new government started up and then get the hell out of there so we don't influence their ways of life. The Iraqi people should decide how their government should work not us, not Britain just the Iraqi people. As I say this I also want to clarify that no matter what the final decision of how to deal with Post-Saddam Iraq, I will support our President, our troops, and our great country. I am proud to be an American. During this stressful time for our country and as long as you live, look around and see your friends and family and realize that you are lucky to have all these people you love surrounding you. Then realize that they are thousands upon thousands of men and women just like you in the middle of a desert thousands of miles from home, family, and friends fighting to ensure that nothing changes what we have here in the U.S.A. I am not a religious man but I ask all of you who are to pray for the safe return of our friends and family. My heart is with them and I appreciate everything they have and are doing for our country. May God be with you all and see you all come home safe. Adam Cooper
