CDA-7 AWARDS COOPS AND RETIRED PERSONNEL
|
In time of the Yuletide Season, CDA concluded the year-end with twin significant events, Christmas Party and Awarding Ceremony. Cooperatives considered as outstanding and best in performance were given awards. Special recognition were also granted to cooperatives who actively participated in the CDA sponsored activities as partners for development, and cooperatives whose business activities are considered distinct and exceptional in nature.
It was not only for cooperatives but also for people who worked for CDA. The CDA retirees were presented plaques of recognition of their effort rendered to the agency. A tribute was afforded to mark respect of their services during their tenure of office and even after retirement.
CDA and its working committees designed this awards and incentive program to give due recognition to cooperatives in order to encourage and motivate them to uphold their acclaimed status. It was made to prove to the public that cooperatives are in high- speed motion for countrywide development.
The event took place last December 19, 2006 at Cebu Lioc Kui Bldg., where CDA-7 is presently holding its office. At the outset, a thanksgiving mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Joseph de Aquino, Chaplain of Perpetual Succour Hospital at 9:00 am.
A short program was hosted by Ms. Nora P. Patron, Cooperative Development Specialist, Negros Oriental Provincial Field Office and Mr. Mario L. Limbaga, Cooperative Development Specialist, Bohol Provincial Field Office.
Col. Benjamin Teves Yu, CDA Administrator and Acting Regional Director of CDA-7 commenced the formal opening of the activity by giving a warm welcome to the guests and visitors. An overwhelming sharing of experiences by the selected officers of the cooperatives plugged in and instilled precious insights to the audience. Those were real life experiences from prominent cooperatives in the region.
The awarding ceremony was attended by Hon. Segfredo O. Buagas, CDA Administrator who represented of the CDA Board of Administrators, Judge Esperanza F. Garcia, Chairman of Cebu CFI Community Cooperative, Board of Directors and Managers of different cooperatives in Region 7.
During lunchtime, the awardees with the CDA officials, visitors, and guests shared a moment of success and togetherness.
