What is the mIRC
mIRC is an interlay chat program used to link people all over the world. The creator of this program is known as Khaled-Mardam Beg. mIRC attempts to provide a user-friendly interface for use with the Internet Relay Chat network. The IRC network is a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk. mIRC is the first step to make a Script. It leads a simple mIRC to an excellent script due to the hardwork of the owner. Some of official websites from where you can download a simple mirc are http://www.mirc.co.uk and http://www.mirc.com . These websites are owned by Khaled-Mardam Beg.
Are you new to IRC? Then here are a few tips for you =)
Getting on IRC
To get on IRC, first you must have mIRC. You can download the latest and the
newest versions from the
Once you get the file, double click on it, or go to Start and then the Run
option and type in C:\directory\to\mirc4ts.exe Naturally you will have to
replace the directory and file name with the real ones.
This will bring you to the installation part of mIRC. Click OK. Then select the
mIRC icon and your running mIRC!
Once you have run mirc.exe, a windows will come up asking you what your Name,
Email, Nick and Alternative Nick is. For Name put your Real
Name. For email put your email address, for nick put the nick you choose (Mine
is b|gTo0t), and for Alternative Nick put the second choice of Nicks you would
like (Mine is b|gTo0t-). Not everyone puts their real name or email address, so
you don't have to =)
Click on Connect to IRC Server. This should be automatically set to a random
DALnet Server
Connected to IRC
When your connected to IRC you must register your nick
To
do this, type /nickserv REGISTER password Email
You
must fill in password with one you make up. A good password (so no one can
hack it) consists of numbers and letters such as JohNNy123. Passwords are Case
Sensitive. That means that Star is not the same as star or STAR.
If
the nick that you have chosen is already registered NickServ will ask you to
identify for that nick or nickserv will change your nick to a Guest's nick. A
typical Guest nick consists of Guest with 4 or 5 numbers following. Example:
Guest12345.
If
you dont want anyone else to use your nick set your Kill On
To
do this, first identify for your nick by doing /identify password
Everytime you get onto IRC you must identify for your nick. Then to set your
kill on type /nickserv set kill on
