Here are a few silly memories of when I first played Myst that I think you'll all get a kick out of.
I'm only writing sections of times that I did or thought something funny. In the future if you happen to read these
and want me to write the whole loooooongg story from begining to end, then please email me and I'll post it up.
(At least all the parts I can remember.)
1. The first time I played MYST, I explored all over the island and looked at everything.
One day when I was playing it with my brother, Abe, he and I saw the spaceship and suddenly had a
(what I thought) brilliant idea. "Maybe we have to find a way to get off the Island". I thought this
was how to win the game.

2. The Mechanical age is one I don't think I'll never like. There are several reasons.
When we first discovered the underground passage in the fortress where that red button is in the
hall that beeps 3 times when you push it...well we went down there and tried messing with the rotater
until I had to tell my brother that the music was driving me crazy! To me it seemed like forever
before my brother
finally decided to leave, but guess what was waiting for us at the top. Closed-in walls in both hallway passages.
We were trapped and not just that. I was stuck listening to the same underpassage music together with the fact
that it repeated the banging of metal which you hear all through the fortress that really gets annoying after a while.
This underpassage music, however, at the time sounded a little scary to me because of the tune and the metal sounds at the end.
It gave me the feeling that something bad was down there. Sure, the elevator was available, but we could not get out of the
fortress and being only 11 at the time, I got really scared, because I didn't think Abe really knew how to use the rotator in
the underground passage. I thought, "WE'LL NEVER GET OUT!!!" I wondered if it was a trap left by someone.
This is how silly I was back then. Even now that I know that wasn't true, I still carry the horrid memory of being trapped
in the fortress listening to that haunting music. So, sometimes when I do a MYST walkthrough for fun, most of the time
I avoid going to the Mechanical age. It's not that I'm actually scared of it now, but that it's just annoying to hear
the continual banging of metal all through the fortress. This Memory probably sounds silly to you though, huh?
Well those are all the Funny Memories I can remember for right now. If I remember any more I'll put them up.
