                  Rainbow Hawk

The arched colored prism reflected from the mist.
It touched the earth our fathers walked many years ago.
Colors of many hues and shades a pathway to the sky.
The very same rainbow, now returned I watched its glow.

Against the blue and white a hawk caught the current.
His golden plumes glistened in the rainbows brilliant light.
He soared, swirled and glided on his spiraled journey high.
A sunbeam caught his eye like a laser in the night.

Clouds moved and reshaped in forms never ending.
Some white and puffy and others shaded grey.
Taking shapes of animals or other things youd see.
One looked like a rearing horse another one at play.

Then the rays were darkened as the clouds turned to black.
Thunder peeled and lightning struck the sky came alive.
Soft sprinkles touched me and soon it went away.
Then appeared a rainbow newly printed on the sky.
