Pages of Ages

Winging through the past today, mine, not the ages.
Seeing things Id said and done, on many, many pages.
Some were good, some were bad, but still my fault they were.
Though further through the list, more good, the bad deterred.
Of this Im glad, that means Ive learned, a few things down the line.
If I can continue, (and I will) all not great, but should be fine.

Values, life in generals changed, to some I still adhere.
I know Ill be judged some day, some by my peers.
I even found love recently, I thought I had before.
I was wrong, it hadnt been, for this one I adore.
She took the good I had in me, held it in her hand.
Some I knew, some I didnt, I made another plan.

Of all the things Ive done in life, much wisdom I have learned.
I worked many , many jobs, for knowledge that I yearned.
Some I liked, some not so well, but trade them, I say never.
The good, the bad, the in-between, will stay with me forever.
People come and go these days, friends will hang around.
But only if you treat them fair, in your heart they can be found.

Days of youth, physique, and health, are waning so beware.
Just use the things that you have left, tender them with care.
Greed, wealth, and power, shouldnt be with them at all.
The higher you go remember, the further is the fall.
Im not saying you shouldnt proper, build, save and live.
The cautious way is slower, but in the end more to give.

I cant tell you what to do, Im reading this myself.
I hope it helps you as much as me, anything will help.
Now the years before me, some looking forward to.
None are  promised, none assured, do what you need to do.
Others Ill take as I find them, the end I know not here.
Bless the ones you live each day, the last one do not fear.

Where you go, and how you fare, depends on from now on.
Like, from now on Ill try my best, look up, dont look down.
In the end youll thank yourself, further down the road.
It wont break you heart or spirit, to carry a heavy load.
Take all the things youve learned TODAY, keep them safe, secure.
I cant say it will be easy, but better I assure.
