Keeping it Together

The soft caress your fingertips,
played their lullaby.
It soothed my wanton heated flesh,
as I gazed into your eyes.

Memories past we shared our souls,
needing one another.
Now we've found contentment,
like when our kissed lips are smothered.

Nurtured to maturity,
our love has grown much more.
No selfish thoughts or greed,
but each pleasured and adored.

Thoughts of loyalty, trust or honor,
never raced our minds.
For we belong together,
to all else we are blind.

Thoughts shared without the words,
minds linked and connected.
Few questions ever asked,
as we knew what was expected.

A bond like this only happens,
once in very few lifetimes.
The lucky few must treasure it,
never let it slip your mind.

Small tears become unwraveling,
to damage beyond repair.
Show her love beyond repute,
then your heart she'll proudly wear.

This was to be a love story,
it's turned into a lesson.
Listen through each others eyes,
and heed each others beckon.
