| I Was.......... The planet was a lonely looking place. Barren and desolate covered in water for as far as the eye could see. But there were no eyes to see. This was an uninhabited planet. Millions of years went by then came a rumble in the distance. Waves rose and fell building into a tidal wave as it rushed outward. A dark form appeared then rose higher and higher out of the monstrous sea. A mountain formed then a range of mountains. As the years passed more and more rose from the watery sanctuary and a continent was formed. The sea had already began producing tiny microbes as elements mixed and a string of genes became life. DNA changed again and again as new life formed. More land appeared over time as the earth�s crust rumbled and moved on its plates. Sunlight dried water and it�s residue and the storms and activity moistened it again over and over till soon it became an almost living organism. Then in time it greened and grew. A moss like growth then aged and took on new appearances. Film and structure hardened into rough scales then more and it grew taller. Then pieces fell and took root. Spreading outward covering the land. Shaded now the earth took on a new look. Chemicals mixed and formed. Lighter ones rose and heavy ones fell. Some changed in the space above up and down it went then particles adhered. Finally thousands of more years and clouds formed and moisture generated. For lifetimes and generations the earth restructured it�s self. Unknown lifetimes and generations not yet conceived. I was conceived before those years. I was one of the first, if not the first. Looking back on it I was the first. By day I slept beneath water. Deeper than the water its self. By days end I slept on the land. I was my own master. There were none other like me. I crept across the earth making no noise. No one knew I moved. No one felt my footsteps. And I was alone. I never cried. I never smiled. I never had emotions. I never knew these things. ���..
