FUN AT CAMP!! WEEKEND of FEB 22,1997
On a weekend in Feb. 1997 My wife and 2 children, my brother in law, his wife and 2 children (Andrea-14, Johnny-11), and our friends Mike and Mary and their 4 kids (BOYS 4,6,10,13) went to our camp for the weekend. We had to carry all of our gear in on snowmobiles. There was well over 5 feet of snow on the ground but the temperature was in the LOW 50's!!! Needless to say it was not an easy task to get all the kids, all the sleds, and the gear in on the 2 1/2 mile trail. This picture is of the next day as my 2 boys (with mom and dad)are getting all pumped up to go for a ride. This is one of our old E'Lans' that is basically for the kids to use(and with all those kids up there they were used!!).
Here are most of the kids at the dinner table having lunch, that's my wife pouring the milk.
Here was the biggest problem at camp with small kids. THE STAIRS!!! Because it was so warm and the snow was 5 feet deep the smaller kids ( and the adults)were sinking in very deep. So, if they were not getting a ride they were in camp, either on the stairs, as pictured here ( Dominic on left, E.J. on right) or playing with the wood stove!! Can't wait until that's over with!!
This is when Nic had it and took a beer and tried drinking it (of course the top was not opened)!! He did this for a while and had us all laughing pretty hard. The effort to get any beer back to camp made them a pretty hot commodity To Return to Camp Click(Here)
