| The Shawnee Lake Botanical Garden Located just East of Topeka. The Ceremony will be inside this Gorgeous Structure surrounded by streams and beautiful flower beds. Centered with a fountain at one end and a serene lake view at the other end. The ceremony will face towards the Lake with the Fountain in Back and streams and flowers on either side. We plan to bring in some Ivy, handsome columns with cascading floral arrangements to frame in the front. Seating will start from the back with rows of 3-5 white chairs covered with fabric slipcovers. They will cont. to the front with a isle up the center to where the minister and his podium will be. The wedding will start around 7pm and last prob. 45 minutes starting with the progression of special people whom we felt best complemented each groom. The special girls in our lives will be our Fruit Flys (a special title given to a close to heart female friend of a gay male) The Guys with whom we cherish most will be our Men of Honor!! The Grooms will follow in the progressional from behind through the center Isle where they we hold each others hand and take the final step to become one. The entire ceremony will be coreographed with selected meaningful songs chosen by the two grooms. Following the Ceremony will be the Reception which will be held just a few hundred yards away in a awesome serene and peaceful area at the Lakee also with a lake view and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Under a huge arabian style tent will be 10-12 round tables covered in white linens draping to the floor, and accented with a burgundy overlay. Set with 6-8 settings of China (and wine glasses) and centered with a mirror tile decked with a classy floral arrangement. The Grooms will seat at the front of the tent with the cake, punch, and groom's tables all bearing the same linens and taller elegant floral arrangements and candles. From above will hang long strands of natural greenery garland all leading to a huge elegant floral arrangement hanging from the center peak of the tent and accented with clear twinkling lights. Surrounding the sides will be columns topped with cascading arrangements and draped ivy garland also all accented with clear lights. And finally a staged band or DJ will be set up in one section decorated to tie in with the whole room! Should be a wonderful night for us to remember always! |
