Hacks

There are lots of different places in Carmageddon 2 where you can hack into the files and change a few things to increase the fun or make the game easier and just a reminder, any damage any of these hacks do to your computer or anything are not my fault and you may want to make a backup copy of the files you change.

Money Ped Hack

One hack that can make the game a lot easier is to open the Carmageddon 2 directory on your hard drive. After you have that open, open data then open the peds folder. After that folder is open you open the settings.twt document. A few lines down will be a line that says Points score per ped. Across from that line are three numbers (300, 200, 150), change them to something like 3000000,2000000,1500000. Now when ever you kill a pedestrian you will get loads of credits!

Time Ped Hack

One hack that can make the game a lot easier is to open the Carmageddon 2 directory on your hard drive. After you have that open, open data then open the peds folder. After that folder is open you open the settings.twt document. A few lines down will be a line that says Time score per ped. Across from that line are three numbers (15, 10, 5), change them to something like 1500, 1000, 500. Now when ever you kill a pedestrian you will get loads of time! I would suggest using this because the timer thaw will not allow you to add time and you get a time bonus at the end of the race!

Car Strength Hack

Open the Carmageddon 2 directory. Then open data then cars. When you have this open choose the car that you want to modify. Right click on the .TXT file and open it in Wordpad or any other word processor. You will have to go down a few lines until there are actually words. One of the top lines will be car strength. Change this to your liking, .9 being a car of clay and .0 being a solid granite car.
