Angus has studied the drums under the direction of Steve Sowerby since the inception of his drumming career.
In 2001, he entered an audition tape of his playing in 'The Best Up And Coming Junior Drummer' competition and was selected as one of four finalists Australia wide. The Final was held at Drumtek's 'Ultimate Drummers Weekend' in Melbourne where Angus played infront of an audience of 200 drummers and industry professionals; he was placed 3rd.
He has recently become one of Australia's youngest students to complete the level 3 A.M.E.B CPM Examination. For his examination performance, Angus recieved a B+ mark.
Angus also plays in a variety of local bands including an orchestra, drum ensemble, blues/soul band and a rock band. He has played a wide variety of styles over his career and gained a large amount of experience for such a young player.
