Joanie is a DJ on WMBR, the MIT station in Cambridge, MA (88.1, http://wmbr.mit.edu). She's on Thursday mornings from 10-noon and has been there almost 15 years. She also did a hard rock show on WBCN in 1988-89 and occasionally filled in for the hardcore DJ on the Boston College station, WZBC. Joanie says she won't stop dj'ing "until they drag me out kicking and screaming". Her real job is administrator in a research lab. She's 5'6", has reddish hair and blue eyes and is cynical as all hell.

What she like most about being a dj is she says, "It's fun playing what I like and having other people enjoy it too."
"doing radio makes her real job somewhat bearable". If there was one thing she wanted her listeners to know it would be that, they can call her any time to ask about what they've heard, She like's it when they want to know more about something they like.
If she could meet any one or anything she said it would have to be, David Bowie, in 1973 tho, and John Cusack.
She would have to describe herself Cynical. If she could be any cartoon she would be Rocky.
