Welcome to my home on the Web.
My name is Grace, also known as Cooldancer in the world of chat.
I belong to the Daughters of the American Revolution. In March of 2004, my granddaughter, April will be a Deb and presented to the national and state officers.
I also belong to the United Daughters of the Confederacy
and National Association of Federal Retirees.
I had to give up the offices I held due to my eyes, but I am able to still be a Service Officer for the National Association of Federal Retirees for I can handle that on PC and phone.
I have written family histories of Burroughs', Jones', Nelsen and Sumner and am working on Jarboe.
I still volunteer in the Civilian Personnel Office at Ft. Lee helping retirees with problems.
I do a lot from home on phone but have an office there for appointments.
I spent nearly fifty years working in budget with the Federal Government and retired in 1983 to take care of a hubby on a kidney machine. I nursed him for seven years until he passed away in 1987.
I did a lot of volunteer work all during ww11 teaching hand crafts at the USO. Dancing was my middle name, for I loved to jitterbug. I just had to drop out of the Colonial Square Dance Club due to my back, which breaks my heart.
Now my life in the semi-blind world is my computer and my chat friends.
Last Feb my mom fell so I brought her to my home to take care of her. On June 4, 2003 she turned 110 years old and is listed in www.grg.org
She is the oldest living person in Virginia, fifteen oldest in US and 43rd oldest in the world.
Please take time to visit my webpages
and sign my guestbook.
