In EA's upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer beta, ten of the unlockable weapons are tagged with notes saying, "Buy this weapon on Xbox Live Marketplace." According to the specs, the buyable weaponry doesn't seem to be significantly better then any the other high-end guns. It's pretty obvious that the gun models already exist as each weapon provides a three dimensional view. Therefore, if you think about it, what you pay for are essentially the handful of infobytes that let you shoot with Battlefield's shinier weapons.

But the beta won't come out until next month so nothing's for sure yet.
