Finally, those nasty aliens get cut back some slack!

At a press conference today, Taito,  a subsidiary of Square Enix announced that you'll be able to reign over history's most relentless aliens. Yes that's right kids, the frustrating,  ever-descending group of pixel-mania from the golden days of Atari. Space Invaders.



One sentence summation of game:

Blow the malevolent crap out of anything and everything.

(something that I'm strangely interested in)



Space Invaders Get Even: Counterattack Of The Space Invaders lets players use Wii nunchaks to swing around a UFO Mothership. This effectively lets you take command of over 300! invaders round' the globe.  It's pretty damn tempting too. Each demolition arena will have several areas, may it be a coast town, a fortified building or  a weapons plant sitting still waiting, for the death rays of alien badass.



Don't need to wait long though.

The game is supposed to debut in June 2008.
