It turns out that in some instances, mankind can make horrible, planet crippling oversights.

As in the case of this adorable, docile, kind little thing.

"What the hell is that?" you ask. It's a good question, it's a good question. Truth be told, I haven't heard of it until an hour ago, but the Worcester's buttonquail turns out to be some RARE, VALUABLE and more importantly, VERY EXTINCT specimen of a bird.

But hey that doesn't matter! After years and years of searching, WE GOT IT as evidenced by the picture above. It's astronomical that filmcrews shooting in the Phillipines accidently caught a glimpse of it.

But Mother Nature does a real good job for bitch slapping mankind for all its vices.

Shortly after it was seen, the bird was sold (guy bought it for 10p) in the market place, de-feathered, probed, cooked then eaten, presumably at the tables of kings and queens who eat extinct species for breakfast.
