WaveGuides (air tubes) connect each speaker to BOTH ears to deliver the correct timing and volume difference.
The WaveGuides direct the front sound across the front of the ear, and the rear sounds across the rear of the ear.

You'll experience a digital surround sound effect, wishful in nature, but supposedly just the same. I'm surprised that this stuff hasn't really made it's way into the marketplace yet. Eh, Canadian products tend to fail on the spot.
