New Standards For iPhone App Store, Useless Software Pulled
photo
The useless, extremely profitable "I Am Rich" app  has finally been yanked off the iPhone App Store. A similarly useless app named "Pull My Finger," has also been pulled; probably because farting noises aren't funny to Steve Jobs. I'm getting the impression that Apple has raised the bar for iPhone software, which is good. I give a nod to Apple -- content is crucial. When this whole thing started, it seemed like the only rule for inclusion in the store was a "no porn" guideline. Regardless, there really should be more rules and higher standards to ensure quality content. The zero-tolerance porn thing is a good idea, but somehow unequivocal crap still shows up now and then.

A personal note:

Damn it! I was going to make so much money off my dancing monkey app.
