The Red Alert series celebrates its 13th anniversary on October (There's free stuff too)

Along with the champagne, EA is breaking out the original Red Alert game for your enjoyment. Download the strategy game free from the official website. Another installment, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is due in October as well. I haven't gone through the storyline for number 3, but I hear Gina Carano is in it. She's a Mixed Martial Artist...sounds intense.

Putting down a $50 pre-order will get you a Red Alert 2 download. If you're a seasoned gamer, you'll have enjoyed Red Alert many times. I'm sure that most of us have fond memories of the game. Since I'm quite partial to Command & Conquer 2, Apocalypse Tanks during Iron Curtain and 'Hell March' are my personal faves.
