There Will Be Blood - MK vs. DC Fatalities ![]() Thank goodness, the game isn't ruined! The upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will feature Fatalities and Brutalities. For those of you that don't know, Fatalities are finishing moves, specific to each character, that made the original Mortal Kombat legendary (and banned in some American counties). Memorable Fatalities include spine-rips, heart-theft and turning an opponent into ice for the purpose of smashing him into tiny particles. Brutalities are far more simple, and merely involve the forced explosion of your opponent. Before this announcement, Midway, the game's developers considered replacing Fatalities and Brutalities with toned-down maneuvers that they referred to as "Finishing Moves."
Of course, at the end of the day, they must have heard some pretty compelling arguments from the millions of angry fans out there. And so, hearty helpings of violence and gore will make its way into the game. Surprisingly, this is the first MK game that will not hold an M rating, but rather a T Rating. Anyway, after reviewing some in-game footage, I've found that Joker's Fatality is by far, the most devious. Check out The Joker's Moves What He Does The Joker points a revolver at his fallen prey. He pulls the trigger. Party drivels fly everywhere and an innocuous 'BANG' flag slides out. The Joker puts his hands to his mouth and giggles at his error. He pulls out a real gun and finishes the job. The Joker dances. 2008-08-25 06:52:15 GMT
