Cosmetics king Shiseido and game guru Nintendo are working on Project Beauty (coming November) -- NDS software that's clearly meant to amplify your lust for plastic-assisted beauty. This is a brilliant marketing ploy on Shiseido's part. Game works like this: Make you feel uncomfortable around your reflection, then insist that you purchase cosmetic products from a certain producer that will remain nameless.
Project Beauty takes in a digital scan of your face and makes notes using preset paramaters. You'll get some fairly generic remarks. Your face will either be graded as cool, active, cute or feminine. And with that, beauty tips will be served up. Tips like 'Use more Shiseido products' are expected. Fun part is you can change little things about your photo, using Shiseido brand lipstick, Shiseido brand concealer, Shiseido brand mascara, Shiseido brand powders...
I really don't know why you need this. If you've made associations with barbership gals (like I have), they'll never stop handing out cosmetic tips anyway. And knowing Shiseido, you'll certainly receive some unsolicited advice on beautifying your soul. Project Beauty is sure to make a killing.
