Bill Gates officially steps down as Chief Software Architect of Microsoft on June 27th. Gates however, will continue to serve as Chairman of the Microsoft Board Of Directors. From there onward, Gates plans on devoting more time in managing the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a philanthropic endeavour worth over $38.7 billion that works toward funding scholarships and combating AIDs. 



During his years at Microsoft, Gates has compiled a rather impressive list of accomplishments:



The Short List

World's Richest Man for 13 years.

Was once a "centi-billionare" -- which is absolutely insane.

Achieved monopolistic dominace over software.

Makes philanthropy cool.



Down at the Consumer Electronics Show, Bill Gates formally announced his upcoming retirement and provided a video preview of his last day at Microsoft.

Can outdo Edge at Guitar Hero.

Can ONLY be portrayed by Russell Crowe, and maybe Tom Hanks. Maybe.
