Flashtops - Lighter And Faster

Fujitsu-Siemens Computers is a technology firm based in Germany. By September, they’ll be selling laptops, which utilize flash memory rather than hard drives to deliver faster, lighter and more efficient systems. FSC plans on manufacturing additional computing systems with memory capacities ranging from 20 to 120 gigabytes. FSCs entry-level 32-gigabyte laptop will retail for around 500 Euros.

The new FSC laptops are nothing short of awesome. They start-up faster, process information quicker and are far more resilient than models with hard discs. However, the hefty price would undoubtedly wane customers away.

Fujitsu Siemens isn't the only one producing these so called Flashtops. By Dec 07 they'll have laptops equipped with flashdrives.
