Concept designer Mac Funamizu has drawn up the ultimate nav gadget.
As all Japanese creations do, it combines the various functions of a digital camera, a scanner, a WiFi receiver, Google Maps and Google search.
Theoretically, you could hold this thin slice of screen up to an array of objects (newspapers, buildings, landmarks etc.) and receive relative information in the viewfinder. There remains a bunch of obstacles left to tackle, but the technology should be within grasp by 2038. Bummer.
