Could this be a joke?

Yoda and Darth Vader from the far far away galaxy are making appearances in Soul Calibur IV. Madness.

I recently purchased Soul Calibur III a couple of weeks ago and I was locked in a jaw opening stupor when I saw that most characters in the game brandished weapons that rivalled the size of really big golf carts. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it. It provided me with the impression that I could strike the crap out of everything. But it’s this same sense of nerdy unrealism and interest in the fantastical that pushes Namco into featuring Jedi warriors that are supposed to be nigh indestructible.
With a formula like this, something very wrong could happen very quickly.

On one hand, it’s really neat that you get to compete as either Vader or Yoda. On the other hand, using a friggen lightsabre against a guy wearing fancy underpants -- but ultimately losing, seems kind of stupid to me. Thoughts anyone?
