EA is finally going to ditch its crap strategy of earning a few more bucks by charging gamers for shinier weapons. Xbox 360’s Battlefield: Bad Company was quickly boycotted when it was discovered that it would take additional cash to lift the wraps off of secret weapons. The people who heard this raised hell in their gaming communities. Forums were quickly filled with bitter diatribes of the sort.

And the rest of them…they blogged.

The hell EA was forced to face!



But regardless, those who paid out $10 more for the Gold Edition will immediately be rewarded with all 5 secret weapons. Everyone else can only get their sticky hands on the hidden weapons by achieving rank 25, the highest and most frustrating rank in the game.



Well everyone, this latest stint in download controversy certainly provides a preview onto what would happen if all premium content was reliant on further payment.
