| The game begins amidst a busy crowd scattered across the streets of 12th century Jerusalem. The expansive bazaar is utterly dominated by traders, shoppers and innocent bystanders. A mysterious hooded figure stands still. He shoves onlookers aside, leaps upward in the air, and sinks a spring-loaded blade into a knight's neck. Boom! The man scales a wall, leaps from one building to another then vanishes into the air. |

| You've just witnessed Altair, master assassin of the mysterious medieval clan of Hashshashin. He holds an objective: to assassinate nine essential individuals on both sides to put an end to the Third Crusade. These various targets are spread across three cities, all of which have to be explored as a means to gather intelligence on your target. Picking pockets to acquire maps, running makeshift obstacle courses, and intimidating public figures in dark alleys are all in the norm. Much like in the manner of GTA, you can interact with everyone and of course, kill anything. However, killing any old Dick or Jane might incite a blood riot and killing in daylight may attract pesky lawmen. But if you're lucky, and you win the favours of a persecuted citizen, you can recruit them as battle fodder during missions. |
| You're an assassin. You'll have to learn your territory, stalk your prey and execute plans in perfect fashion.The movement in Assassins Creed takes after Parkour, so expect plenty of damn find acrobaics and awesome maneuvrability on the part of Altair. Because the controls boast simplicity, it is weird to get stuck in ladders and ledges. However, familiarization with the controls is a snap, and after that -- absolute freedom. The fights are in a totally different orbit of their own. Unlike other stealth games, Creed's Altair boasts kickass ninjitsu skills. After dropping five guys flat, you'll crave for more. Some of the most detailed swordplay takes place here. Good thing that there's loads of it. The storyline and actual manner in which it is told is a bit bizarre though. Be prepared for some confounding flashbacks. |

Assassin's Creed has been one of the most hyped up games on the market. The graphical animations are extremely beautiful, and the gameplay is purely fantastic. At the end of the day, the only thing that's etched into your mind is the spectacular view atop a watchtower. |
