You start off the game leaving Hyrule, minding your own business, when an imp, Skull Kid, along with is two fairies Tael (purple), and Tatl (white) knock you off your horse, Epona, putting you out cold. He steals your Ocarina, given to you by Princess Zelda back in Hyrule. When you awake, you and Skull Kid are off into a merry chase.
From there, make your way through the forested cavern and fall down the hole. Here is the point where you are slowed down big time. Skull Kid, with the power of the mask he is wearing, turns you into a Deku Scrub. You are limited to a spin attack (A), and flying using flowers (hold down A over a pink or yellow flower and release a to launch). You get plenty of practice using the Deku flowers as you make your way through the mini dungeon. When you are making your way through, Tatl is left behind by Skull Kid, giving you a fairy to guide you. Though Tatl can be rude to you at times, he is very helpful when facing enemies you don't know about and giving hints on how to beat the bosses. Make you way through the dungeon, and you meet the Happy Mask man. He tells you exactly what happened to him and explains why Skull Kid is so strong. Obviously the Happy Mask Man is very angry and asks you to bring it back. But he also offers that if you get an item that once belonged to you back, he will heal you back to your normal form, and your adventure begins!
OK. Now that you are in Clock Town, you have a couple of tasks to do. First, grab the stray fairy in the Laundry Pool (the place where the boy wearing a mask comes out), and return it to the Fairy Fountain in North Clock Town. It is right by the Soldier guarding you from going out of Clock Town. Once the stray fairy is returned, they transform into the Great Fairy. The Great Fairy gives you a magic power meter, allowing you to use another attack; the bubble attack. Hold down B to increase the size of the bubble, and release B to shoot. Now go out and shoot down the balloon that the kid is trying to shoot. After shooting it, talk to the kid. He says that you can become a bomber if you pass a test. It is a simple hide and seek game. The easiest way is to shoot them with your bubble attack. Then go tag them. There are two in North Clock Town, two in East Clock Town, and one in West Clock Town. Once you find them all, you get the Bomber's Notebook and a permenant password to get into their hide-out in East Clock Town. Go into the hide-out and make your way across the water to where it is shallow. Walk along the shallow side until you see the opening on the right. Take a direct right to the opening so you won't have to face the Giant Skultula. Pop the ballon and head up the ladder. Now you are in the observatory. Run up the stairs and talk to the astronomer. He tells you that Skull Kid is on the top of Clock Tower. Zoom in on him. Now you are in a mini scene. He starts to make fun of you when the moon has a "tear" fall from its eye. The astronomer tells you that you can keep the stone. Go outside and pick up the Moon's Tear.
Now that you have the Moon's Tear, go back to South Clock Town. Walk towards the Deku Flower. An Akindo Nut comes down and tells you he would like to go back home. He also wants a souvenir for his wife and asks for a Moon's Tear. Give him the Moon's Tear and you get the Deku Flower and Land Title Deed in return.
OK. Now that you have completed all of what you need to complete at the time. Now, it's time to collect some hearts. Heart #1 is a gimme. Launch yourself to Clock Tower and you will find this heart. To get Heart #2, go into the Stock Pot Inn at night. To do this, use the Deku Flower next to the hotel to launch to the roof. Go to the bottom floor and find the toilet. If it is 12:30, a hand will come out and ask for some paper. Give him the Land Title Deed and he gives you a piece of heart in return. |
