Fushigi Yuugi
Imagine, your exams are coming, and you have doubts of being accepted in the best school.  You and your friend go to the library and find a book called the Universe of the Four Gods.  You and your friend open the book, that's when the adventure begins.

  Miaka and Yui, best friends, get sucked into a the book and become the main characters in it. Miaka becomes the Priestess of Suzaku, while Yui faces a crueler fate, and then becomes the Priestess of Seiryu, which makes her enemy of Suzaku and Miaka. 

   Of course there's more. Miaka must find all the Celestial Warriors of Suzaku to save the nation of Hong-Nan, and to be granted any wish she wants. 

  Like it says on the book, it's impossible to put down.  It's funny, romantic, and full of fantasy.
