I was born and raised in Ventura, CA and went to St. Bonaventure High School. I then went to UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and majored in Molecular and Cell Biology with a minor in English. I met some of my best friends in the world, and my sweetie, Alex, in the dorms.
Anyways, in my senior year I started working at the State of California Department of Health Services on Respiratory Syncitial Virus. After graduation, I began to work at CDHS full time in HIV neutralization research. I went back to grad school in August 2000 for my masters in public health in infectious diseases at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. While in school I met great people and learned, learned, learned. I also started singing with the UC Women's Chorale (Sop II), made more wonderful friends and served as an officer for the UC Choral Ensembles. I graduated in May 2002, and went back to work at the DHS on some new projects. Alot of my time in the past year has been keeping ridiculously busy with friends, family, work and whatnot, but still getting happier and healthier. Lots of movement of people and big changes, but all in all, everyone is growing and learning. On Feb 22, 2003, one big little change occurred, and Alex and I got engaged, after 8 1/2 years of everything you can imagine. Happy. :) Lots more to come.
