Following Features have been added/fixed in v1.1
*Updated Word List. More than 1,200 words now in list.
*Complete Graphical overhaul of the application for better look and feel
* Fixed Bug with find command in Edit Dialog
* Disabled standard exit buttons to ensure proper shutdown of application, so as to prevent memory leakage.
As the name suggests, the software is primarily intended for GRE(Graduate Record Examination) aspirants. It was designed to let the user have total control over the vocabulary list and also to test them based on their performace. Yes, you will be provided word in TEST under graded conditons.
NOW!! How much does it cost?? Frankly speaking, i designed the software for my personal use and now have decided to distribute it, hence buisness is not my main concern as of now. But YES, i would appreciate if you could leave me a word or two about my effort. See the section contacting me for this.
So what makes it different?? Well here are the key features I am listing, and it would be better if you yourself get a "feel" of it:-
1.) It tests you based on your responses. It analyses three or four responses (during each test) and then increments the level or decrements it according to your perfomance. Though, results are not saved after the test is over.
2)Allows you to add those difficult words on your own without hassles and set a LEVEL for them. Inbuilt checking provided to prevent duplicating of words!!!
3)Modify/Delete words from list at ease.... In short make your own custom testable dictionary
4) If no alternative choices for a word is supplied, then during testing phase it will automatically fill those choices
5)Correct answer provided for wrong selection. "Help me" option included to tell you the correct answer
6)Total of three levels
7)A.I. included to prevent repetition of words while taking a TEST
8)ITS free for STUDENTS,(yeah, but please.. PLEASE, do send me comments. It keeps me going :) )

Q) Is it freeware??
Ans) Well not exactly. But if you are a student u might use it for free. But if u earn something and manage to save , then i wold also like to have some share... :)
But you must follow my terms of use whichever category you fall in
Q) What do you mean by LEVELS?
Ans:-Actually the whole wordlist has been divided into three levels, words of differnet categories. Easy, Medium, Hard. The test always starts from the medium level and the level goes up and down depending upon your answers. You can see you current level in the lower right side of screen
Q) What's the scoring pattern?
Ans) for easy +1, medium +2, Hard +3
Q) Well , I have bunch of words already, can i make my list compatible to yours without adding each word individually??
Ans:- Definitely yes!! After all that's why i made this piece of proggy to give you total control. You can do this through Microsoft access. But there is one catch, you have to make sure that there are no duplicates, else you might mess up whole thing. Better still, send me the list and i will send you the formatted list compatible with the proggy. Meanwhile I am also planning to add a utility to do this, but guys u might have to wait till it becomes available for public use.
For those of you who don't like to mess up with MS-Access, send me the list , i will do the job for you.
I would prefer if its in excel or access format
Q) When will the utility to batch add, i.e. add number of words through my own collections, without entering them again, one by one individually ?
Ans) Probably soon. But better i get the response, believe me the sooner you will get the utility
Q) How can I add words to database with the help of Microsoft Access?
Ans) Well first make a back up all the three file(word0.mdb, word1.mdb, word2.mdb) present in the the folder in which you installed the application. Now if you want to add words for level 0, then edit word0.mdb. Similarly for other levels. A word of CAUTION though, if the word you are going to add is already in list, then there will be error. So make sure you don't mess up. If u think this is too tiring, send me ur list, i will add it for you and for FREE.
NOTE: While opening dabase with Access, Access might prompt you to convert the databse. DON'T DO IT. Just click on open the database.
Q) The choice section is BLANK. How then do I get choices during Test?
Ans) Simple. The program just selects other words randomly from the list and displays them as choices. Hence its not a required field in Add Records.
The reference is their to help you with certain words. You can insert the most like use of word here for your convinience. This is optional too.
Q) Do you provide the update to database list?
Ans) Well I plan to provide, but again that depends of how much you liked the software. So just leave me a comment and dont forget to add yourself in my subscription list. (See details below).

Well I must say, the idea of the project was from my girlfriend. God knows, if it wasn't for her , whether I would have done it or not. At least it's going to help me a lot and if does help even a single person, I would consider it a HUGE success.
And that's about how it got started. But it was only due my friends that I kept working at the project. They gave me truthful view of what they liked and what they thought should change. Thanks a lot guys!!!

Well if you have run the program at least once, you probably know how do I look like. More about me?? Well I am 21 , studying Electronics and Communication Engineering in India. So how did I write this one?? Well I like reading a computers and trying my hand at different things, if its related to PC. Probably that's also one of the reasons that forced me to distribute this as freeware. I know how easy it is to defeat the protection schemes of Shareware, even if one does it himself, leaving aside the fact that you just need to do simple search to register your favorite proggy for FREE. And yeah if you haven't been able to guess till now, I coded this program in Visual Basic 6.0.
You can call me being crazy about anything related to PC as my hobby if u want . If I am not with her, then I am in front of my PC.
