Bay
Bay is a very common color. The horse will be brown with all black extremities, mane and tail. Some are darker than others, but the "dark point" rule is always there.

Grey
Many grey horses are mistaken by "white horses". Rule: If it has dark skin, its a grey. There are many variations of grey, for exaple the Dappled (lighter circles of grey on coat)  and Flee Bitten (speckles of brown or black hair). The Dapple marking is also noticeable on other coat colors.

Black
Self explanatory really... Black. ONLY black hair! Many people mistake "Brown Horses" for black. Some bay horses have alot of black hair, more black than brown! A true black horse's coat will shine blue under the sun.

Chestnut
A chestnut horse has, well, chestnut hair all over. No black tips, and the mane and tail should be the same color as the body. Some chestnut horses can be very light, glowing almost red or orange and some can be almost blood red.

Buckskin
One of the most primitive of all horse coat color. This is believed to be the color of the first ever horses. The horse will be yellowish with a dorsal stripe and black tips (like the bay). Some buckskin also have zebra stripes on their legs.
