| 125 ml margarine 185 ml brown sugar 1 egg 3 ml vanilla 315 ml flour 3 ml baking soda 200 g chocolate chips |

| 1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease cookie sheets 2) Soften margarine with wooden spoon in a mixing bowl 3) Add sugar and beat until fluffy 4) Add egg, vanilla and blend together 5) Gradually stir in flour and baking powder 6) Add chocolate chips 7) Drop dough using a teaspoon, about 2 inches apart, onto cookie sheets 8) Bake on top rack for 10-12 minutes |

| 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup shortening 3/4 cup white sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 10 ounces white chocolate, chopped 1/2 cup chopped and toasred macadamia nuts |

| 1) Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugars, beating well at medium speed with an electric mixer. Add egg and beat well. 2) Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in vanilla. Stir in white chocolate and macadamia nuts. 3) Chill dough for 1 hour 4) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. 5) Drop dough by 2 tablespponfuls, 3 inches apart,onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes (cookies will be soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks to cool completely. |
